私の趣味はバスケットボールをすることです。私のルームメイトの趣味もバスケットボールをすることです。いい天気だったら、私は ルームメイトと公園でバスケットボールをします。冬には、公園でバスケットボールをできないから、私たちコロンビア大学のジムでバスケットボールをします。ルームメイトは私よりいいバスケットボールプーレーやです。私はバスケットボールをすることがあまり上手じゃないですが、とても好きです！

二月十四日からから十五日まで、コロンビア大学東亜研究大学院生の会議がありました。わたしはクラスメートと会議を作りました。会議を終わったとき、パーテイーがあります。人はStarr図書館のテーブルの上にダンスをしました。とてもたのしくて、にぎやかなパーテイーです！

What does communication mean to me?

To me, communication refers not only to the acts of speaking or writing but also to the hope that the intended listener(s) and reader(s) will understand the meanings intended.  The possibility of communication lies in the building of mutual understanding between people.  It requires speaking and writing empathetically, making our best efforts to communicate in ways that will be meaningful to our listeners and readers.  It also requires listening and reading empathetically, doing our best to meet speakers and writers halfway by seeking to understand where they're coming from.
